The Gospel Train Preschool was established in August 1984 as a weekday ministry of the Tarpon Methodist Church to provide educational needs of the early childhood years with a Christian orientation. The Gospel Train is licensed by Pinellas County, Gold Seal Accredited and a certified VPK provider. In addition, lead teachers and assistant teachers are required to obtain certification in Early Childhood Education from the Pinellas County License Board. The director and all teachers must also continue their early childhood education annually. All staff has had their background screening which is also required by the county.

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS: 

All students must be two, three, or four on or before September 1. This policy follows the Pinellas County School Board policy.

 

SCHEDULE AND FEES

 

Gospel Train follows the Pinellas County School calendar closely but additional school days may be required to meet the 540 hours required by the State VPK Program. Yearly tuition is broken down into ten equal monthly payments.

School year begins in August and ends in May.

 

Monthly tuition fees include the hours from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Our preschool does offer additional hours until 2:00 P.M. and an extra charge of $8.00 per day is required. 
 

Before and Aftercare is also available, opening hours are 7:00 A.M. and closing hours are until 6:00 P.M.  Bonnie Fasce,  Director of Children's Ministry at

Gospel Train offers the following class choices:

 

TWO/THREE AND FOUR YEAR OLDS 

 

Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Tuesday and Thursday

Monday through Friday

VPK paid by the State of Florida (student must be four years old)

 

A registration fee is also required but does not include VPK students.
